Welcome to UNIMA Australia's brand new website! In this little tour, we're going to introduce you to the new features. To do so, use the arrows at the top left of this box. Click on the 'house' icon to close this box. If you ever get lost, you can use this guide to help you, or use the site map linked at the bottom of every page.
At the top of each page of our site, you will see a range of icons, as pictured below:
These help you navigate to some pages of our site. The house icon will get you back to the home page. The 'A' icons resize the text for easier reading. The flags help you translate into another language.

By clicking the envelope icon, you can contact us. Use the postal address, or if you prefer, the contact form to email us.
By clicking the heart icon, you may donate to our organisation. We love donations, it helps us support amazing puppetry around Australia!
Now we can click on these fun coloured tabs across the top of the page. Clicking on the 'about us' tab takes you to a description of our organisation, and from here you can also read about our history.

Fill out all the necessary details in our online application form. Once submitted, you'll get instructions on how to pay. Joining UNIMA Australia has lots of benefits, all of which are described on the previous page. Members also get special access to other areas of this site.
One of our new features is the ability to host a calendar of events, showcasing puppetry around Australia. Members may submit their own events once logged in. You may use the map at the right for a quick glance to find shows near you. Click on any of the events listed to see more details.
We are now viewing the detail page for one of our listed events. Members who submit an event will find a new feature: your UNIMA Australia profile page will be automatically linked to on each and every event you create!
On our 'news' page, we blog about upcoming events, organisation and administrative news, and other announcements. You may wish to subscribe to our RSS feed to receive notifications of when we update this page. You will find the RSS feed link on every page of our site, where the 'home page' icon is located. You may also wish to leave comments; click the 'leave a comment' link on the relevant blog post to do so. (Members who are logged in will find a new feature: your UNIMA Australia profile page will be automatically linked to on each and every comment you make!)
From our 'directory' page, you may view a list of current members of UNIMA Australia. Not all members are listed, but those that are can be sorted by name, location, style of puppetry, or roles undertaken. Click on any of the members listed to see more details about them.
Here we are viewing the profile of our webmaster, Naomi Guss. Another new feature: members can login to this website and update their profile pages at any time (instructions for doing that are provided elsewhere). As well as contact information and a short biography, members can link to popular social network sites. By clicking on the Youtube icon, you may view Naomi's Youtube channel.
Go back to the 'directory' main page. You will find there a link to additional websites about puppetry. Those not members of UNIMA Australia may submit their own website by using the links provided.
At our 'gallery' page, you may view images submitted by our members that represent puppetry in Australia. Click on each thumbnail image to view it in detail.
Here we see one of our gallery images, provided by our webmaster. You can read a description of the image, share it with others, and use the green arrows to navigate to the next/previous image. Members who submit an image will find a new feature: your UNIMA Australia profile page will be automatically linked to on each and every image you submit!
On our 'magazine' page, you may learn about UNIMA Australia's publication Australian Puppeteer, as well as preview back issues. Members may login and download complete back issues. (All members receive copies of the magazine as part of their membership)
Finally, we have our 'grants' page, where members can apply for our annual scholarship. Many members have used this scholarship to subsidise study, creation of puppetry projects, or for overseas travel.

First thing you can do is login, using the login form. It should look something like this:
The login is provided to you by the webmaster. If you have trouble remembering your password, you can reset it by clicking on the 'question mark' icon near the login form.
Once you have logged in you will see additional icons at the top right of the page, like so:
These help you navigate to the members' only area of our site. Let's go left to right, and start with the first icon, the 'question mark'.
On this page you will find a series of FAQs about how to use this website. Each one takes you step-by-step through the process of using the members' only area.
By clicking on the 'edit profile' icon, you may update all of your UNIMA Australia information. Clicking on the purple tabs allows you to update various sections of your profile. You can update your profile image, contact info, biography, links to social networks, password; view your profile page; and have a handy link to the renewal form and other relevant pages. A handy percentage bar at the bottom shows you how much of your profile information you have completed. Try to get 100%!
Click on the 'add event' icon and you will be taken to a form which will allow you to submit the details of your event. Again, click on each of the purple tabs to complete the process, and then press submit. Once approved by UNIMA Australia, your event will go into our events calendar.
Clicking on the 'add image' icon will allow you to upload photos to our gallery page. You may select to list yourself as the photographer/copyright holder, or fill in someone else's name. Once approved by UNIMA Australia, your image will go into our gallery.
Click on the 'add news' icon. Here you can enter in your own news items, that will be added to our news blog once approved by UNIMA Australia. Again, click on each of the purple tabs to complete the process before submitting the item.
